President's Message - Issue 36
(Published: September, 2014, Volume 14, Number 2, Issue #36) (Table Of Contents)(Author: Larry Fillion)
Miasma Journal Schedule: I will now be committing to produce the Miasma three times a year so readers will be to know when the
next Miasma is coming out. The schedule will be January 1, May 1, and September 1 and an email will still go out alerting people to the new Miasma.
Membership Update:
There are 84 members from 19 countries (6 new since last Miasma).
Auctions: I will also be including an auction with at least 15 items with each Miasma (now three times a year). I have heard from more than five members that the auctions are a nice way to acquire items for their collections. Auction 4 will close on September 15, 2014. If members have commercial covers or FDCs sent trhough the mail that they would like to sell, please contact me as members are looking for these.
Always Looking for Articles: Please consider writing an article about some part of your malaria collection, or how you got started collecting malaria stamps, or about a doctor in the malaria field that can have supporting stamps with it, or new varieties that you have found, etc. All I need is the text and some images and I can put together the web page. A text file, MS Word file, and many other formats will work. If you have an exhibit that has interesting malaria items in it, please send scans of the exhibit pages and I can add them to the site.
