(Updated version of a previously published checklist The bottom two cachets are new finds).
There are 4 color aspects of the "Rainbow" Cachet for the U.S. Scott 1194 issue. Variety descriptions and known examples are below.

  1. (Border) Outside Border and "THE UNITED STATES HELPS THE WORLDS STRUGGLE TO ERADICATE MALARIA".

  2. (4¢) "Malaria Eradication" and "4¢"

  3. (Text) "Over a billion people live in the shadow of this menace. About 300 million people are affected each year. It is fatal to 3 million of them. No other disease plays such havoc with human lives.

    Malaria is caused by tiny one cell animals, carried from one infected person to another by a mosquito called 'Anopheles'. Without mosquitoes, the disease would vanish, so the battle of man versus mosquitoes, is now in progress. Over 80 countries are joining forces to eradicate this disease."
