Iran Scott 1204-1206 Commercial FDCs to Stolow
(Published: June, 2018, Volume 18, Number 2, Issue #47) (Table Of Contents)(Author: Larry Fillion)
My friend and MPI member John Hotchner sent me the three large covers below. There are all 9 1/4" X 12 1/2".
They were all sent through the mail from the P.T.T. (Public Telephone & Telegraph) in Tehran, Iran to New York City. They were sent
June 20, 1962 and were sent to J. & H. Stolow, Inc. which was a stamp company was doing a lot of world wide new issues and FDC business including selling a lot of Anti-Malaria stamps.
These large envelopes were most likely filled with full panes of Scott 1204, 1205, and 1206 Anti-Malaria stamps which were issued the same day of the mailing.
The backs of the covers have fourteen of each of the three Anti-Malaria stamps which make these very nice commercially used FDCs.
