Receiving Mark: Received Malaria Eradication Branch
(Published: January, 2019, Volume 19, Number 1, Issue #48) (Table Of Contents)(Author: Larry Fillion)
Donald R. Johnson held two positions at the Malaria Eradication Branch. He was the Assistant Chief of the Malaria Eradication Branch
and then promoted to Acting Chief of the Malaria Eradication Branch when Roy R. Fritz left the position. When covers and documents
arrived through the mail, they were "stamped" with a receiving mark like the ones below. All but one were were in the Donald R. Collection
and has been noted. And of course the content of the items are interesting but
taken out of context. Many of the items are also in other articles in this Donald R. Johnson Special Edition.
Ignoring the color of the ink, there are two types. The earlier ones from 1/11/1961 to 6/8/1962, there was as extra "TRD-O/PH". Below is a table with all of the recorded receiving marks on items. The latest date recorded is November 17, 1964.
It also appears that another receiving mark was created (and a change of the branch name?) and there are three items with a new receiving mark Received Aedes Aegypti Eradication Branch and there are three recorded dates: September 8, 1964, November 1, 1964, December 14, 1964.
