Wilkinsburg
The Wilknisburg Stamp Club of Wilkinsburg, PA. issued this Hilaria souvenir sheet in conjunction with its 1963 exhibition. The upper stamp portrays a mosquito preparing to attack Goya's nude, while an Aztec archer takes aim at the mosquito. The lower stamp features a fanciful anta-malaria emblem and an animated Khrushchev fighting off a mosquio with a shoe. The W.H.O. sent a letter of appreciation to the Wilknisburg Stamp Club for a $200.00 contribution which was raised from the 3 cent surcharge on each Hilaria souvenir sheet sold.
